1. Les Chocolats de Chloé

Address: 546 Av. Duluth E
Contact Details: +1 514-849-5550
Operating Hours: Monday – Wednesday, Saturday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Thursday – Friday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM | Sunday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Price: $$
What makes Les Chocolats de Chloé an absolute favorite is they sell “real” chocolates. Each order is made right there behind the counter, so you can really see how they infuse chocolates with flavors (and not with questionable sweeteners!).
Just the vibes alone are very reminiscent of those tiny shops in Paris and Rome. Even the prices seem to exude that level of luxury, though I think it’s reasonable when you consider the quality of options you’ll find.
I’d say I really like their truffles because they have a distinct, strong taste, but the caramel bars get me all the time. The sweetness is just right, and the chocolate doesn’t have a bold, bitter taste – in short, it is totally delicious!
2. Divine Chocolatier

Operating Hours: Tuesday – Friday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Saturday: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Sunday: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Diving Chocolatier keeps it simple – I love their good service that makes sure everyone gets a personal recommendation. They have so many options, and if you feel a little too overwhelmed, you can ask the staff to fill up a box of 12 for you.
If you’re still not sure, they do have pre-assembled boxes with mixed varieties (options may vary per day). These ones are packaged nicely, so you can even buy a few to give away as gifts.
But once you realize how richly done their chocolates are, I doubt you’ll want to give them away! I tried their double espresso and champagne flavors and they’re downright one of the best I’ve had. They just melt in your mouth with their milky texture.
By the way, the place is famous for their ice cream too. If they’re not yet sold out by the time you arrive, do get one!
3. Chocolaterie Bonneau

Address: 69 Rue Fleury O
Contact Details:
Operating Hours: Tuesday – Friday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Saturday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Sunday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Chocolaterie Bonneau has everything you can ask for in a small, high-end neighborhood chocolate shop. Every shopping moment here feels personal, with staff (and sometimes even the owner) suggesting the best dessert combinations for yourself or as girls.
Their gourmet selection of sweets is definitely not cheap, but the quality is enough to justify it. The blueberries I had were covered in chocolate imported all the way from Peru, which was a totally new experience for me.
When holidays hit, they do a lot of themed chocolate offerings, so I recommend you drop by just to check out the designs. Beyond these, you’ll also find other sweets like eclairs and macarons, making it the perfect stop for quality treats.
4. État de choc

Address: 6466 St Laurent Blvd
Contact Details: +1 514-657-6466
Operating Hours: Sunday – Wednesday: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM | Thursday – Friday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Saturday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Simply visiting État de choc alone is an entire experience. Apart from being a chocolate shop, it also serves as part art gallery – the shop uses packaging that features various artworks on their chocolate products, which are then placed on the walls and tables as decorations.
The chocolates are hit or miss depending on the flavors, but I do like their insane collection. For instance, they have pistachio-flavored chocolates that give them a nice, nutty texture.
The maple and jasmine tea flavors also caught my attention. The tea has a refreshing zest that doesn’t overpower the chocolate’s milkiness.
Some options, like the bonbons, are a little too small for what they charge. The chocolate bars are also pretty small, but I do like them because they’re easy to chow down and have a nice, almost sour (it’s not bad, actually!) aftertaste.
5. Chocolats Andrée

Address: 4440-B Saint Denis St
Contact Details: +1 514-279-5923

Chocolats Andrée is simply perfect for those who want to truly enjoy their chocolate. Here, you can sit down and quietly enjoy their creations – especially if you grab a nice hot chocolate drink to spend your afternoon.
There’s a little cafe attached to this place, where you can enjoy your chocolate with a nice cup of coffee or tea. The chocolates are always made on-site, so you’re sure to get a fresh batch every time.
If you want something as a gift, though, you can have it packaged in a nice, elegant blue box. Their chocolates are pretty small, making it easy to grab a bunch of flavors to try them out yourself or with a friend.

I know anyone who stops by Chocolats Favoris won’t regret it – the place is pretty much a sweets lover’s dream! They have various dessert options, including their beloved ice cream, which they’re best known for.
They also have a wide range of chocolate products. If you love bold-tasting options, you can find some rich, dark chocolate. If you like texture, though, they have nut-filled options as well.
And like I said, their ice cream is pretty much the draw here. Come for chocolates and stay for a cone – there’s maple ice cream that’s topped with chocolate hazelnuts. You can also go for the cotton candy flavor if you want something extremely sweet.
7. M & Mme Chocolat

I rarely make multiple visits to chocolate shops, but M & Mme Chocolat is simply hard to resist. One look at their options will tell you that they care about the work that goes into each one – after all, it’s a place for quality artisanal chocolate!
Their chocolates are so original, with flavors that you can blindly choose yet still ensure a good time. Some picks I can recommend include their raspberry vanilla bar and yuzu bar – they’re not super sweet, and the fruity hints are subtle but remarkable.
It’s also nice that they have an easy delivery service (you can order a 10-piece box and send it to someone in the city). It’s fast and convenient – just give them a call if it’s for a surprise!
8. Qantu Chocolate

If you want to turn your chocolate shopping into an experience, you need to visit Qantun Chocolate. Apart from their products, you can also book a tour with their team and get to know their chocolate-making process.
To give you an idea, they source their cocoa beans directly from Peru farmers, a quality you can really tell from the flawless sheen on their chocolates. The tour will last about 3 hours, and yes, you can taste the chocolates (you’ll enjoy about 6 to 7 options!).
Here’s a pro tip from the owner to fully enjoy their chocolates: you need to slow down. Take a bite, chew 3 times, and just allow the chocolate to melt inside your mouth. That’s how you get to fully enjoy each bar!
9. Avanaa Chocolat

Like our previous shop, Avanaa Chocolat is also great for the experience. The place not only sells the goodies but also offers comprehensive workshops (they might be better known for this, actually!).
Once you’ve completed the workshop and learned everything from sourcing to packaging, you can splurge on the best stuff. There are many options, all of which are made from ethically sourced cacao beans.
After getting your goods, you can sit down for a hot chocolate. Don’t worry if you get hungry because they also have baked goods on-site. And, of course, it’s also the perfect moment to take a bite from your newly-bought chocolates.
10. Arioum Chocolats

Address: 2080 Boul. Gouin E
Contact Details: +1 514-779-0917
Operating Hours: Thursday – Sunday: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Price: $$
Arioum Chocolats is all about vibes – it feels like a cute little cafe and being located in an eclectic neighborhood, you’ll feel like you’re an entirely new city. There are nice artworks on the walls too, so you can spend hours just appreciating everything.
The quality of their chocolates is some of the best I’ve had in the city. The chocolates have this gorgeous dark hue which suggests how premium the cacao beans are. They’re also not very sweet, so they won’t overpower you the more you eat.
From time to time, they may feature rare-to-find imported chocolate pieces. But if you’re not on the hunt, you can simply sit down, have coffee, and consider visiting the local nature park that’s just close to it – hopefully, you won’t lose your chocolates along the way!
11. Joane l’Heureux Chocolats Montréal

Website: https://lheureuxchocolats.ca/en/
Address: 5344 BÉLANGER EST
Contact Details: +1 514-914-3957
Operating Hours: Wednesday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM | Thursday – Friday: 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Saturday: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Price: $$
People often describe Joane’s chocolate as simple, but I think they pitch themselves pretty well. They feature both daring and traditional chocolates, ensuring there’s the right option for every taste bud.
Every single one is handmade in Quebec to ensure quality. And for us, that means we can enjoy a good assortment – for starters, they have chocolate boxes that contain 4 to 24 pieces. Some may have notes of coffee, while others may be fruitier in taste.
Packing is premium, so you’ll feel a bit of pride ordering one for a special someone. Considering how easy and fast it is to order from them too, you’re pretty much set.
