After reading some rave reviews and actually visiting them, we finally narrowed it down to the best activity bars in Montreal. If you want to know which ones made our list, keep reading.

Retro gamer? Then you definitely can’t miss Arcade MTL. For a $9.50 cover, you get unlimited access to an incredible selection of vintage arcade cabinets and consoles.
The highlight for me was the MAME machine. It’s packed with various classic games that kept me entertained for hours.
The $8 Yoshi is one of the bar’s quirky drink options. There’s even free popcorn, which I thought was a nice touch. Just don’t wait too late into the night, as the popcorn machine sometimes shuts down before closing.
On quieter nights, service can feel a little slow. Weekends can get busy, but showing up late has its perks. Most people have already left to catch the metro around 1:00 AM, leaving the games free of lines.
2. Quilles G Plus

With over 22 well-maintained lanes, Quilles G Plus offers a classic bowling experience at reasonable prices. The lanes have a vintage charm, complete with wooden boards and older scoring systems that add to the nostalgic atmosphere.
But the venue isn’t just about bowling, as it’s packed with additional activities. The arcade at the entrance is perfect for gamers. Meanwhile, the billiard hall and bar area provide even more ways to unwind.
The bar is awesome, too. You’ll appreciate the casual vibe of the bar area, where the noise isn’t too distracting for chats. However, drinks are slightly on the pricier side.
When it comes to food, the snack bar has all the essentials for a classic bowling outing. While the menu is simple, the food is comforting and pairs well with the vintage vibe of the space.
3. Forum Gamecentre

The bowling lanes are a classic highlight, though technical issues occasionally disrupt play. Regardless, reservations are easy to secure. Book an earlier time, and you’ll likely have a stress-free play.
You’ll enjoy their extensive arcade game selection, ranging from vintage classics to modern hits. But if you’re more into pool, it costs $14 per hour.
In terms of drinks, the beer selection is solid. However, keep in mind that a pint will set you back $13, so it’s not the most budget-friendly option in town.

The karaoke setup is a huge hit. It runs six nights a week and drawing in lively crowds. While the song list is expansive and the energy is contagious, be prepared for a wait if it’s a busy night.

The drinks menu is just as exciting. The Shirley Temple I had was perfect. It’s complete with maraschino cherries at the bottom—and it only cost $4!

North Star blends retro fun and great drinks, making it one of my favourite spots in Montreal. The highlight here is the pinball machines, which range from vintage classics to newer models.
If pinball isn’t your thing, they even have Pong, tabletop hockey, and skeeball. With tokens costing $1 each or $20 for 25, it’s easy to spend hours reliving arcade glory days without breaking the bank.
Drinks at North Star are a treat and reasonably priced, too. They have a solid selection of beers and cocktails to refresh you while playing. I even tried a Labatt 50 with a pickle, which was unique and worth a try.
If you’re into photo ops, they have an old-school photo booth to capture memories. While it’s occasionally out of service, it’s a nice touch to look forward to as a souvenir of the fun you’ve had.

The laser tag arena offers a two-floor adventure that amps up the excitement. Each session comes with multiple game types, making it perfect for groups who want a bit of a challenge.
The escape rooms at BoulZeye are a highlight for puzzle enthusiasts. With different themes and varying levels of difficulty, there’s an option for everyone. Don’t miss out on ‘Murder Mystery Mansion,’ as it’s a crowd favourite.
